Old Sportster and K Model Research Group

Davenport 2015 – The OSKRG again gathered at Jerry and Jack Raino's vendor spot for serious research.

Paul and Dave Benazzi cooked up Brats and Dogs for Friday luncheon, and plenty of beer and soft drinks were consumed amidst all the research.

The relentless Iowa sunshine and temperatures in the 90's forced some of us geezers to seek refuge...

Dave Carlton provided one of the highlights of the event - his recently acquired 1958 XLCH, one of only 239 produced that year. This example has been converted for street use, but Dave will soon be returning it to its stock trim. The 1958 XLC and XLCH were off-road racing models with no electrical components, and bobbed front and rear fenders.

Everyone scoured the flea market, searching for those bargains and rare finds. Finds were found, and bargains bought. Meanwhile, the Raino's refuge provided food, fellowship, and most importantly - a shady area conducive to important research.
