Coil Cover

I have 4 K Model XLH coil covers. Two with holes in bottom where wires could pass thru and 2 without holes. Did Harley add the holes at some point or were they added by someone else? Thank you in advance, Tom.

Tom, I have seen several. I have one with hole locations 1.5" between center to center. 1" center to back side. 1.8" from left of cover side to first hole center. I thought these were probably owner add on for secret kill switch or accessory lights etc. These are drilled 1/2" not "uni-bitten" but with drill bit. I have no idea if the Factory ever added them. Be interesting if yours are in same spot. Erik

Well the 2 that I have with holes don't match with your numbers so I guess they aren't real. I kinda like the hole in bottom as it seems neater. If the bike was being judged would they deduct for the hole? Thanks, Tom.

Yes they will take away a fraction of a point. Got nixt on a few extra holes in the fenders of my OP 56 KHK at Wauseon this year.
