'69 XLCH Oil Tank lower bracket and fastener finish

Good Morning to all,I'm at the point of my Sportster project where I'll soon be heading to the platers.I'm needing some clarification as to the finish that was on the lower oil tank bracket and the associated fasteners.The lower bracket appeared on disassembly to almost look to be raw steel but was not excessively rusty.Was it at one time parkerized?The hex mount studs look like they might be parkerized as do the bolts to bracket that attach to the studs.Lastly,the bolts,springs washers and nuts that secure the bracket to the oil tank,cad or parkerized?I appreciate any help/ insight as some of these details are hard to capture from an overview photo and no local examples are available for me to look at.Peter

Is this your bracket? If so, it looks to be parkerized. The 62761-66 studs are parkerized as well as the 3831 hex bolts.

All of the lower fastening hardware (except the cotter pin) is parkerized, all of the top mounting hardware is cad. All of the bolts are CP1038. Applies from 66 to 69 XLCH.

Gentlemen,Thank you for your replies.That information clears away the uncertainty .To answer the question as to what bracket came with the bike,the one in the posted advertisement is definitely the one I have.It's just a bit more jaded finish wise.That will be corrected.Peter
