Compensating Sprockets Market Check

Postby hd54kh » Mon Feb 12, 2018 2:03 pm

I have these compensating sprockets and not sure what their application is.

I had originally thought they would fit my 54KH but I have the what I believe is sprocket shaft 24000-52 as opposed to the 24000-54.

My sprocket shaft is too short for them. Any advice here if I am correct or not?

If they are not correct any interest in buying them and what would be fair.

My KH is early in the run #78.

Thanks - Terry

I tried to add a picture but it does not show up. I'll keep working on it. Figured it out, needed to resize.

Is your motor a 55" or 45"...the -52 Sprocket Shaft presses in flywheel 52-53. -54 engine should have larger KH bolt in shaft.

Hi EKHKHK56, I do have a 54KH and it does have the shorter sprocket shaft. I've had it for about 25 years with no known history before that. So either the parts are original to it or a rebuild done with what was available back then. The serial number is as it should be 54KH and the sequence number 1078.

Hmm. There are three that I know of. 52-53 K press in type. 54-56 KH bolt in and 57-? XL which is same as KH except it has built in shoulder where it seats in flywheel and larger nut. I will pull some up. Erik
