The 1955 KH Riders Hand Book quotes the following.
38 HP @ 5200 RPM
42 ft-lb torque at 4200 rpm
Was there a KHK Rider's Hand Book with HP and Torque specifications?
With the exception of the cams, the KHK would be very similar to the KH, so I would think the low 40 HP range would be realistic and optimistic for an engine with relatively low airflow and corked up with a muffler. IMHO the higher 40s would be a serious stretch and 50+ HP is out of the question for a stock engine. And of course one of the most significant considerations of all - on which dyno and who's dyno?
