Recently saw the image below on Ebay and thought it might be interesting in light of the above discussion regarding a seal in the breather tower.

My 67 and 69 CH have Tom's inner oil pump modified inner cover installed on them for the last 3 years and they don't weep down one ounce over the winter, app 6 months this modification works fine and will solve the problem of weep down if everything else checks out OK- Check ball and housing seal. He has a early 52 pump modified on E Bay now for sale and inner covers also. Pump in picture above is SOLD
