I have a 1956 K with a rear wheel speedo drive but it has a stock speedo,I think its arranged this way to compensate for the welded over tranny speedo drive.It looks like someone adapted a front wheel drive from a later XL to the rear hub,Problem is the ratio is way off gives an incorrect reading.But interesting idea.

if the front is 3.50 19 and the rear is 4.00 18 they should be the same ...is the cable on the top or bottom of the drive?

I found this picture at a flea market years ago. The guy looks a little scary but the bike is cool. Dated on the back July 9 1955

Interesting picture of a 1954 KH or KHK with a black front fork panel and I think headlight shell as well. Obviously police or military of European origin but where? Patrick, where is this from?
