Have a question regarding the cam cover from my '56 KHK basket, and more specifically, the spring loaded bushing in the front of the cover that contacts the generator drive gear/oil slinger. I’m not sure if the parts in my cam cover are correct or complete, but all I see is the thin flanged bushing and the spring below it (which doesn't look correct according to my parts manual). My question at this juncture is “what retains the bushing in the hole and how is the assembly removed from the hole"? I see significant debris down in the spring and want to remove the entire assembly to clean it thoroughly. Thanks for any advice you might have.
