You should be able to get crankpin rollers from any Harley dealer or Harley repair shop. Otherwise Jim's in Mendon, Ohio has lot of old spares.

They're all 3/16 diameter but the '52 53 short rollers were shorter .265 long roller longer .533 and '54 up thru Sportster short .294 long .480 so not interchangeable and cages wouldn't be same either.

Also read the service manual. Rollers come in oversize by a tenth-thousandth. There is this whole rigamarole where you get a "plug fit" where the crankpin slides smooth side-wise as you test fit the rollers. You can't mix-and-match, all the rollers have to be the same size, but you need the largest size roller that lets the crank pin slide smoothly.

Kirk Kelly has Sporty Specialties in California. However I see these rod sets everywhere. Ebay. Don't know if the same but many available. 54 and up. The proper way to resize rods and races is to lap them until they are ROUND. Than measure to find the next oversize roller. Than lap to the next size. Measure a lot. :D No mix and match and try different rollers. Harley case races and rods wear egg shaped due to power pulses and must be made round again during rebuild. All new races must be lapped to insure roundness. After installing they may not be round due to pressing in hole or mfg differences.

Good point, I have a new V-Twin rod set with wristpin I am going to list on eBay once I finish taxes.

VT# 10-0176
OEM 24275-57
Made in Japan

One on eBay for 279 bucks.

You do realize that assembling a flywheel set is high art, and you need a truing stand or a lathe and dial indicators right?

I'm pretty sure all the rod sets you see on ebay are from Dixie's stock. Dixie lost their HUGE building about 2 years ago and all their inventory which was huge went somewhere, don't know where. Wish I would have gotten there for the sell off. I bought a couple sets Sporty and big twin from a guy at last fall Davenport swap who had a load of them and he said he got a lot of stock from Dixie demise.
