sgtoepfer:
Whatever you do, please keep them in the US with people that love these bikes. There are a few of us who still want to love and ride these old bikes.

Yak, we don't want these bad loony foreigners to love our bikes... Yak...

Still... The best WR site is french...

The only KR site is also french ; o )

If you really love these bikes, sgtoepfer, get some work done please...

I promise I didn't mean to offend, but I live in California where many of the historic bikes are being flipped and sold overseas for prices nobody here could afford. I understand making a few more dollars is tempting, but they are getting rarer and rarer.. I just mean that there is a market for these bikes here too. Especially for racers that are still able to turn laps.

Patrick I have 2 of these that are track ready. One will be at the Sac Mile in May. Please understand I didn't mean any disrespect.

Looks like a WR chin rest / tank pad on the black K, being used as a p-pad...

Some beautiful machines there - love the racing sprints too!

55panman: Patrick, Just curious, if these are KR cases why don't they have and R at the end of the raised case numbers?

In fact, these are street cases that have been skilfully made as a set of KR cases, so load of machine time there, maybe even done at the factory.

Bit like Ralf Bernt KRs... He could not afford KR stuff and used K stuff for Caroll Reswebber...

Still curious as you are as how they matched a 52 right case with a 54 left case... It deffo won't fit without careful mods.

If it's a genuine 54 left case, they also managed the swap from conical dowels to straight dowels, not as easy as it sounds!!!

None taken, my post was tongue in cheek...

I doubt this is a 54 left cace because it has the oil transfer port that didn't come out until late 55 or 56.
