Cross-2 is not right. Especially not on the drive side where more strength is needed.

What numbers are stamped in your rims ?

Were the wheels together when you purchased the bike ?

I had to go back and recheck my 19" wheels again. I posted earlier that 19" wheels cross 3 but upon further review they do in fact cross 3 on the left side and cross 2 on the hub side. 7 1/2 " spoke for hub side, 8 1/2" spoke on the left side.Pictures are of an original 19" wheel. So mayday53 you are on the right track.

Well I stand corrected, but it's always good to SEE how things are.

You know, a few months ago something about a mystery wheel came up.

Because the rim's spoke holes appeared symmetrical and the rim number was found to be used on either " conical " ( dual dia. ) hubs or later types using the same 40 spokes, I figured ( or asked ? ) if the conical type hub used two different spoke patterns. Never got to the bottom of it, but I calculated a dual pattern was probably needed.

Thanks !

Do you have an original front wheel you would like to sell or swap?

For the 19 " wheels, maybe 3.25 front & 3.50 rear ?

If that works, Heidenau has their K34 vintage tires.

Avon ....

Front : Speedmaster MK II @ 3.25-19 , or I think the 3.50 might give a more balanced look.

Rear : Safety Mileage MK II @ 3.50-19

That's not a Triumph rim or something like that going on? I have no idea just throwing that out there. I'll send you a photo of my 52 rear wheel just DM your email as my phone isn't smart enough to make small pictures. Yeah thats it. :?

My 52 has 3.25-3.50 -19 rear. Bit skinny. I like a full 3.50 -19 better. Avon Speedmaster for this turtle.

I like the Avons, too. Especially the 4.00-18 on the back of a righteous CH.

I mentioned Heidenau because they are a quality tire and the treads' outside edges have a touch of the original serrations.

BTW, the 19 " K34's are available in an R compound. I'll bet those roll " nicely ".
