Hi All,
let me join this discussion with similar questions. I have a set of cylinders that also use 1 7/8 intakes and 1 5/8 exhaust valves. The seats are 45° although I thought they are 30° in the beginning. It turned out, that the seats are very small and there is rather a 15° cut only on the exhaust valves to give more room for exhaust gases. From what I understood so far the 45° seats should be kept as converting to 30° is not easy. I think especially if the seats are sunk you dont want to loose that extra material for the 30° seats as the edge between intake and exhaust is already very small with the "big" valves.
Now another question on the valve seats: how much "sunk" is to much "sunk"
-- can we give a depth of the "wall" next to the valve that is too much? My "wall" is around 0.1" high on the intakes, the exhausts have the 15° angle but I assume its about the same depth.
This is how my seats look like (roughly):

Is enfield racing the best source for the vaves?
