Horn trumpet locking nut
Posted: Sun Apr 22, 2018 1:48 pmAnybody know why the different locking nuts on these horn trumpets? The bottom (wider) nut will not totally screw from the trumpet but the upper (narrower) nut screws off easily.

Posted: Sun Apr 22, 2018 5:15 pmCheck out the technical section on horns in this website. Both nuts can be removed. Use a copper wire brush on the threads and some Aero kroil.
