Don't have any uppers anymore, all sold out, but at a thought, longer ones equal shorter ones plus 1/2 the increase in stroke...

Erik, can you measure the lengths of the uppers? Handy thing to know when you're at a swap meet...[/quote]

Picked up a few KH valve covers the other day. To to answer Dave's question, KH - 2 1/4" , K - about 1 15/16"

The 52-53 Short Covers are a shade taller than short head bolt. 1.95" Tall covers are 1/4" taller for KH, etc. I have 45 cylinders with short or long Covers. Also with "6" sided and "12" sided Nut Covers. They may have been introduced mid 53. 63 Parts Book shows 53 change.... This from stack of about 25 K cyls. HEADS update. I relinquish my belief that KH Heads were not Polished on Outside. It is MY sincere belief that all KH Heads were polished like KHK. Outer Fins, inner....etc. I will forward a Cycle Mag article that helps establish this in my mind. I have many KH Heads out of 36 that are not Polished but have been run. I assume they came off the parts shelf unpolished now. Erik K
