Looks pretty good! Boots and Black Cyl, Chrome oil tank a few things incorrect but nice bike. Well now I have lost my repair shop. Have 7 days to be out after 25 years. Rain all summer, its been hard enough. I have not been able to recover since I was put 1,500 behind after funds from a frame sale were pulled with NO NOTICE. Now my hobby has cost me my job. So with one good arm, I'm moving all my equipment and parts back in to storage containers. Wish I had a garage. Mud hole is what I have. Erik

That really sucks. I myself will never run a business ever again from rented premises. The owner cam always steal your business whenever he feels like it. The world has never been a fair place. Otherwise, I would be the King of It and I'd give you the premises.
In my life I've always found when one door closes another one opens. And generally, what was behind the second door was a better prize.

Here's what I see wrong with it (I see a lot right with it too)
1) Don't think the buddy seat was available until 1953
2) Buddy seat is later (1957 or 1958) with lip at back. Grab bar is OK.
3) Horn
4) Cylinders painted black
5) Distributor body painted black
6) Fork boots (1954->later), not cowbells
7) Rear brake adjusting nut
8) Fender struts have extra hole (for turn signals?)
9) Fender strut bolts are phillips - should be slotted
10) Gas line should be metal
11) Wrong finish on front & rear brake drums
12) 1954 or 1955 gas tank - no stripes
13) 1954-later headlight bucket (position of indicator lights)
14) Taillight
15) Rear Fender ???, can't tell
16) Missing carb lower support
17) Clutch & brake levers have ball-ends (1960's)
18) Exhaust system

19) The front brake backing plate doesn't appear to have the 1952-1953 "cut" in it. Hmm. 1954-1955 Gas tank, 1954->later headlight bucket, 1954-later fork boots. Possible 1954->later front brake backing plate. Is this a 1954 or 1955 chassis with a 1952 engine? I'd want to take a close look at the frame

Many chrome goodies
Chainguard
Rear brake operating arm
Oil tank
exhaust hanger
kicker and pedal
rear brake rod
front brake parts
kickstand
toolbox
swingarm
hub rear
shifter arm
generator end cap
regulator cover
more things...

Couldn't find that one, but here's a good laugh https://www.ebay.com/itm/113257809693 A mere $6,200 will buy you this ready-to-ride beauty. Oh yeah, if you live in Tyler Texas, he'll deliver for free. I'm sure there are dozens of people in Tyler Texas just ready to fight over this baby. ;--)

Actually, it looks like a nice project for someone. The ad isn't the best and his price seems a little high for what he has. It's never going to e a 100% correct K but it would still be a nice bike to ride around on. If he really wants to sell it once it reaches an acceptable price it will be gone.
Are we saying we don't trust him though ? The dodgy engine number ?

Shown in the photos is a set of engine cases. The description says "Not shown is a very nice set of cylinders, a perfect front head, a perfect and rare kicker cover and a nice cam cover".

Is that it? What about flywheels, rods, pistons, cams, transmission innards, lifter blocks, lifters, clutch, and all the other parts that usually make up an engine? They're not shown, and they're not mentioned in the description.

In one place he says the VIN is 53 K 1111. But in the photo, he has obscured the serial number. Wonder why? "Sold on a bill of sale only". Wonder Why? That doesn't inspire a lot of confidence in me.

I love the help I get on here, but seriously...Get over it, there is too much “it is a nice bike but now let me list 50 things I see wrong with it...” I did not see anyone ask for someone to please ID the wrong parts...just not too respectful of work someone did to get it to that point. I look forward to ya’ll picking apart my build, SMH!
