Hi, my name Terry I am new here and I am making some cow bells for my 1953 K model and if anyone could please give me a measurement on the length of the cow bell I would much appreciate it. I made a set that looks great and fits my fork real nice, but I am thinking if my springs are weak in the fork I could be off on that measurement. I have photo's but they say they are too big to download, maybe someone could tell me how to make them smaller so I can post them. thanks for any help.

Thank you very much, you guys rock! I have been looking for this information for two weeks, on the Antique Motorcycle Forum and on the Sportster Forum. No one would answer. I have a set coming back from the chromers tomarrow , I am within a 1/16 of an inch of the measurement. Mine are 5 1/2 inches long. Hopefully when they come back with chrome they will be that 1/16". One of the things that I found out while making these, it is a design that will fail. And I guess that is why a lot of them are missing. The two 8-32 screws that hold these in place make these so they bend very easy. If they get out of alignment they can rub the fork. Now in one of my pictures, there is a piece of tubing that is 1 1/4 inch long that I welded in the big hole. That tubing fits snug on the fork tube and they cannot get out of alignment. Thanks again. Terry
