KRM TT special

Hi everyone,

Here are some pictures of my KRM TT special. Frame is one of the 5 Branch-framed specials that are mentioned in Girdler's book.
I know of 2 others in California, and saw one with an XLR engine in it on eBay years ago - I believe that bike was from Florida.

The frame uses big twin springer legs to bring the shocks to an upright position. Front is a later addition of Ceriani 35mm MX forks.
I understand that this bike was built in 1960.
Some other interesting parts to note are the road race rear drum with fins, with a reinforced backing plate.
The generator is an all aluminium finned unit that I believe was made by the previous owner - a machinist in LA.
Cams are all KR grinds, with the number 4 cam a factory experimental grind (this cam sadly no longer in my possession).
Ignore the front wheel - that's just to push it around for now.

There are more interesting things about the engine that I will post when I get around to taking pictures.

Hi Patrick, I don't think I do, unfortunately - I will have to dig back through my old pics on another hard drive to confirm.
I think I saved pics of the XLR version a few years ago too. Despite what people say about eBay, it can be a valuable study tool!

Mutt, I will take pics next time I'm out near my local parts stash.

That #16 is definitely talking to me. I loved racing half miles... :shock: Had to travel 1500 miles there and back to attack the clay track in Kenai. '95 Track record at 23.56 with a 78 TransAm stock car. Raced XR544 Honda also mainly for fun. 94, 95 & 96 I won theAlaska B-Stock Championships with no racing tires, shocks or springs which were allowed. Those were fun years...

Mutt,

Bush or bearing shafts? I know I have a few sets, but I think they're all the base KR grind - no letter variants. Is it just the intakes you want?
Still grouping my projects, so unsure of spares yet - although if I do have some standalone intakes I'll let you know.

bushing shafts, intakes only. Base grind is fine. Any idea on the lift/dur?
