Question about KHRM & KHRTT shock covers

Postby Simon » Wed Jul 06, 2016 12:11 am

Hi everyone,

I have a couple of sets of the large shocks for these, and want to get some covers made up for them.
I have looked at various pictures over the years, yet still can't quite work out what they're made of (rubber or leather?).

Can anyone shed some light on this (if Kerry's out there and reading this I'd love to know how you made yours up!) - are they an inner tube cut to length, or perhaps stitched leather?
They look usually to be clamped by wire twisted at each end.

Hi Simon,

On my high def OEM photos, I always assumed they are made of leather, as you say, stitching on the back and wire held:

But on closer look, it does appear rubber!!!
