XL kick lever peg

What year did Harley use a kick lever peg with a threaded end to apply a nut to hold the rubber in place?

From my parts books.

33192-16 or 33192-53 with he -63 part being listed for 58 - 59 XLC amd Xlch

I presume you are interested in the ribbed black rubber variety fitted to CH's. At a guuess I would say they were originally meant for the racing models. (KR and KRTT, KHRM) As the original C an CH were meant to be "street racers" they got them as well. The XLR's seem to have had them.

That's from the 1059 parts book. By the 1963 parts book they had disappeared. My 1959 to 1961 supplement makes no mention of starter pedals.
