52 K steel fuel line

Postby Mike » Sat Apr 22, 2017 10:55 pm

Hi all, Does anybody have a source for the steel fuel line that runs from the petcock to carb with a loop in line at the bottom before turning up to the carb? Thanks, Mike

I second the request-- or even a source for the flare nuts so I can bend one up.
I have seen similar aftermarket lines for Panhead and Hummer, but not sure if I could make them work.

Hi, I have a source for the K-model gas cross over and steel fuel line. Part numbers:
62355-52 1952-1956 Tank crossover line, K Model 20.00
62357-52 1952-1954 K Model gas line 20.00
I can also get the nuts for those lines, If interested my e-mail is [email protected] and phone number is 612-669-0967

That's great Dave. I need 3 each myself. It's really nice having sources for these and other rare parts. In 56 they went to a push on and clamp rubber hose tank crossover. Not sure exactly when they switched but the tank has the simple barbs for push on hose. Erik K

Are the two different versions of the 62355-52 line offered? 1952-53, loop vertical, 1954-56, loop horizontal.

Hi all.

I will get back with some answers next week, I am off to Oley in a few minutes. But I am not that knowledgeable on this topic so I will have to do some research and consult with a few folks. I will also see if I can bet pictures of the two lines that are available and post so you folks know what they are.

Quick question. When did they change to the rubber line. My books show the 54 parts book changing to the 62357-52A in '54. The '53 parts book shows the steel line with a vertical loop going to the carb. I will find out about the crossover line. When did they make that change and which came first.

I believe the rubber hose to carb was a 54 change. My 52 has a rubber hose but it was replaced surely. The rubber crossover hose came out in 56 so Dave's is a 55/56 overlap but correct as his has had factory 56 swoosh stripes. My late 56KHK tank has crossover hoses. Also has rockers recesses for 57. But it has factory bung on left side so definitely K.
