Thought I would introduce myself, name is Doug and live in Western PA North of Pittsburgh. Picked up a 56 KH in 81 very reasonable and sold/ traded to little brother who kept in garage until a couple months ago. My stepson bought the bike and now we are in the process of buying parts to make as original as possible.

Hey Buddalowe it sounds like a great bike and you have come to the right place. If possible it would be cool to see a picture of your bike and what you are starting with.

Will post pictures. For now it's a roller with early Sportster touring tank off. Front end is a 64 up hamburger wheel and 6 over tubes, not that pretty. Frame is December 55 with early neck, guessing 21 3/4 " tubes would be correct?

Hey Bubbalowe I recently received some fork tubes from fork by Frank nice product but spenty 223/4 inches long.Hey i don't know if you know about it or not but there is a nice swap meet in Oley P.A on 4/28 29 good place to start hunting parts.

I have the oley meet as the 27&28 which seems odd being that it’s friday and Saturday instead of Saturday and Sunday. Can you confirm which 2 dates for sure? We plan to go either way, but Saturday and Sunday would be a lot more convenient for me.

Oley is the 27th and 28th, Friday and Saturday. Here is a list of all the AMCA meets and road runs for 2018
Also the the meet in Davenport Iowa. It's not a sanctioned AMCA meet anymore but it is huge.
