What years do the lower slider valve retainer holes represent? There are 2 different sizes, 3/8 and 5/16. Is only difference in sliders the size?

Hi Bubbalowe,
If I understand your question correctly, 1952 through 1967 had the small hole on the bottom of the slider. 1968 through 1972 had a larger hole on the bottom of the slider. the 68-69 sliders are different from the 1970 slider but 68-70 use the same internal parts. 1971-72 sliders look different and have different internals.

Thanks Jerry. Sliders being shipped back Monday after bushing install, will get picture because they are unlike pictured, have both fore and aft lower fender ears, upper fender mounts and backing plate lug with no cable tube mount. Believe these are actual K but saw another set with 3/8" hole thru bottom where damper is fastened instead of 5/16. As mentioned in other posts early style dampers are very rare and no one has re-popped so it's a challenge. The new tubes being made are "universal" fitting all from 52-72 so was hoping to use new late style dampers/ tubes with early sliders.

The 3/8" hole is for the larger later style. Or was drilled for later rods. The 5/16" could snap after constant topping on rebound. Universal Tubes may be too long. Frank's are the BEST. Built from Center Cut Tubing only, etc. No inconsistencies in wall thickness, in or out.
