This might also be the reason there is a "Conversion List" in the race parts catalog to convert KRTT to KR and XLRTT to XLR. A list that includes long and short frame sections.
But there is no such conversion list to convert a KR to KRTT or XLR to XLRTT. Because the bikes all came as TT versions to start with.

There were three conversion kits to convert the KRTT to KR configuration. 40950-54R (19" front, 18" rear rims), 40951-54R ( 19" rims), 40952-54R (18" rims). There were three conversion kits to convert a KR to KRTT configuration . 40953-54R (19" front, 18" rear rims), 40954-54R (19" rims), 40955-54R (18" rims). There was no conversion kit to convert an XLRTT to an XLR as there never was an XLR or any place to use one if there had been one. For 1959 Daytona it was recommended to run the 47014-58 frame, 45738-54A upper fork bracket, 45701-54A fork stem and bracket, 54504-59R rear shocks, 45941-52 right fork slider assembly, and 45940-52 left fork slider assembly.

OK, got lost with what I was trying to say.

I have a conversion kit (and parts) listed for a KRTT to KR. But the book I'm looking at has no reverse kit. That is, mine doesn't show a KR to KRTT conversion kit.

Maybe there is one in earlier books ?

I'm using the 58-68 book.

Read the post above. Either a KR or KRTT could be ordered . The KHRTT was available only as a KHRTT. The XLRTT was available only as an XLRTT.
