O-rings for KR Valve Covers

Might anybody know the dimensions of the upper (18271-55R) and lower (18272-55R) o-rings used in KR valve covers? Thank you.

Are you talking about the standard valve spring covers, or the special KR double valve spring covers?

I have the double, and I hope I can find the standard o-ring number (from McMaster-Carr) that I used in mine.

Lemme know.

K-D makes a kit to make your own from lengths.

It's taken a long time, but I finally found a bag that says:

O-Rings
1-7/16 x 3/32 x 1-1/4
1-1/4 x 3/32 x 1-1/16

I'm not 100% sure, but I think these are them.

Inside the bag are a bunch of the 1-1/4 x 3/32 x 1-1/16 ones. I'll be glad to mail you a handful. I'll keep looking for the other ones.

Tim, can you by chance verify the sizes that Dave has suggested? I ask because Dave is not feeling 100% confident on the quoted sizes.

No sorry. I don’t have any of that stuff.

Back in ‘73, when I worked for a dealership, the factory sent out a close out sheet with all the KR parts on it. I ordered 2 different sets of cams, a set of heads and all the roto-cap valve gear and covers. When our next parts lot was delivered and NONE of my stuff was there, we called Milwaukee and were told that “The Motor Shop” in Oxnard, CA had bought the whole obsolete parts lot and we would get squat. Not happy.
