Dave that is good to know! I’d love to know who else as the others i know of are back east. I’m in Long Beach until i get my house ready to rent and then I’m headed to Utah this spring. You’re welcome anytime! I was hoping to originally get this bike sorted to do the Biltwell 100 desert race in April but it needs more attention than anticipated at the moment but hope to put it back out in the dirt where it belongs.

Wow! What are the odds?!
A guy I know in the BC area had found it and an as raced KH that was pretty cool. I bought them both, never had any history on it. Do you know anything?

Hi Sorry don't have any history, other than me searching for it, it has the big shocks and the correct high brake crossover which is really rare to find.

I owned the yellow 55 KHRM on the gallery page, sold it to Mike Quinn some years back, it was built in a deal i made with Whip at Whips Classic sportsters, it of course does not have the correct shocks or the correct brake crossover, it did have KHRM cases, rear fender and a NOS exhaust and the correct fender emblem but other than that it was a Bitsa, skid plate is a KRM the KHRM ones wrapped up on the sides a bit more.

Tom! Thanks for all that! I’m sorry you didn’t get to buy it, but if it helps i have zero plans to ever sell it and will actually use it as it was intended, hope that’s some consolation. Looks like you have quite a history with these bikes! They are probably one of my favorite machines Harley built at this point. Knuckleheads are far from rare for me now haha.

I actually found the missing left side brake pedal which funny enough I had sold on ebay 7 years ago or so before I had interest in these bikes…whoops! I bought it back luckily, thanks Simon!
I have also acquired a hand full of skid plates, mostly the shorter style that you mentioned is KHR, but is also listed in the accessory catalog as an add on. I actually just got an NOS one for my collection! I do have one of the deep style for the bike, but tempted to make a copy of the boat anchor out of aluminum haha.

I recently pulled my engine out so it can get rebuilt. It was stuck when I got the bike, but i did finally get it to turn. I’m about a year behind on progress due to a long tentative move, but hopefully have the bike back in the dirt next spring…we’ll see!
