The person currently in possession of this motorcycle states that "the VIN number has been removed".
Title 18, United States Code, ยง511 - Altering or removing motor vehicle identification numbers (cite as 18 USC 511) makes it a crime against the United States of America to do certain acts related to altering or removing motor vehicle identification numbers.
This website supports owners of antique motorcycles. The nature of antique motorcycles, and antique vehicles in general, includes problems with the chain of ownership documents dating back 25, 50, 75, or more years ago. We try to help owners with these kinds of problems. However, where there is an appearance of illegal activity, or even the appearance of impropriety, we must immediately dis-engage from conversation.
