Does anyone know of a source or have any K model exhaust pipes for sale? I have two sets of re-pops and neither fit worth a darn - front pipe would do in a pinch but the geometry on rear pipe is way off. Thanks, Mike

It looks like you are working on a 1956 KH or KHK. You need to make sure you are trying to use KH pipes. If you happen to have K pipes or have one K and one KH it's not going to work. More then a few people have run into this problem. Check out exhausts in the technical section for dimensions for both styles. It will give you an idea of what you have for sure. I know in general, reproduction K model pipes leave a lot to be desired but you have to at least determine if you have both KH pipes.

Thanks, Stan - I have a set of both K & KH. Lengths are similar to that shown in the technical section but geometry on rear KH pipe is off and causing problems. It might require butchering up to fit but would rather find another set if possible.

When I did the 53, I had to take the repro wye pipe and cut the weld and readjust it's swing to tuck the exhaust in tighter. That obviously lead to rewelding and a re chromed wye pipe. It's still not perfect but there is a happy medium now, not what you wanted to hear I know but....

Hi

I got the exhaust pipes from Gasbox and they fit well on the 56 KH I have worked on. Unfortunately the pipes are not listed on the website.
