Email improvements

Some of you may have had sporadic problems (not) receiving emails. We, at K-model central, have not been receiving any bounce notices, meaning that we haven't known if you've had problems.

We worked with our web hosting company to find a solution, which turns out to be SMTP Auth. Don't ask. We implemented SMTP Auth on the Harley Hummer Club website, and that appears to have fixed both problems there. We applied it on harleyKmodel today. Both sites are running the same Forum software. So if you've been missing emails, you'll get 'em now. And if you don't, now we'll know why.

The problem was that the 800-pound gorilla, GMAIL, has decided to change their handling of email in non-standard ways, and a number of other email systems have followed suit. SMTP Auth seems the best solution to the problems they have caused.

Meanwhile, the temperatures in Virginia have been sometimes hitting the upper 60's, and my 54 KH has been lightly hitting the road on the warm days. Get ready, spring is just around the corner!
