A wet clutch requires higher spring force than a dry clutch. For that reason the Barnett wet clutch kits are supplied with a stronger spring set. For my wet clutch I opted to use 3 of the Barnett and 3 OEM springs and set the distance as described in the manual to the lowest spring force, i.e., ~ 3/16” between the spring tension plate and the outer flange of the spring cups. To increase spring force further the manual allows for shortening the subject distance to 7/64”, so you can tighten the springs another 0.078” inch further if desired. I don't know what springs the OEM kit are supplied with, but one would assume they'd have to be stronger, and if so the set-up would likely be the standard one.
