I recently noticed that Craigslist made a big improvement - the "Miles From Location" feature now works for a much wider area - 1000 miles. So I developed a easy method to find K-Model and Sportster motorcycles for sale anywhere in the United States, and most parts of Canada too. Grab a beer, sit yourself down, and follow these steps - shown on a desktop/laptop. If you're using a cellphone, the display will probably be a little different, so you'll have to adapt.
Point your web browser to: Craigslist Los Angeles
Type harley into the Search box [ don't hit enter ], and this dropdown will appear
Scroll down and click on 387 motorcycles/scooters

Then you'll get what's below.
Change the values in the yellow fields, then click "apply"

You now get a list of 1952 to 1969 Harleys for sale within 1000 miles of Roanoke, Virginia, like below.
You will have to pick out the Ks and Sportsters manually.

Hit your browser's "back" button, and get to the previous screen.
Change LOCATION to 75201
Click "Apply"
You now get a list of 1952 to 1969 Harleys for sale within 1000 miles of Dallas, Texas.
Hit your browser's "back" button, and get to the previous screen.
Change LOCATION to 84321
Click "Apply"
You now get a list of 1952 to 1969 Harleys for sale within 1000 miles of Logan, Utah.
You have now covered the entire United States, and most of Canada. If you didn't find what you wanted, check back next week.

Perhaps you only want to do one search, within a 1000 mile radius of Yourtown. Easy enough - just plug your ZIP code into the LOCATION box, and click "Apply". BUT, some ZIP codes do not work, and Craigslist will only look in a 60 mile radius, like the example below. If that happens, just use a ZIP code from a neighboring town.

The old Search would pick out the Ks and XLs for you. But it had to look through the results for the entire K & XL alphabet, and Sportster, often misspelled as Sporster or Sportser. Your eyeballs can do it faster.
You can do a smaller radius than 1000 miles, but not more. If you try 2000 miles, Craigslist will change it to 1 mile. Not what you want.
